Who likes to go to dealerships and negotiate? Well, I do actually. But liking something and being the best at it turned out to be two different things. After all the hours I invested researching my new A4 I thought I had negotiated myself the best deal out there, so I drove to the dealer about 45 min from my house and to my surprise not only was the car not the price we had agreed (it was $800 higher for "destination") then I was told I had to get Gap Insurance $650.00 and to top it off when I finally got to see my new car it wasn't the color we had agreed upon. Needless to say I was not happy at all with my purchase, unfortunately I did not know about Your Car Negotiator at that time. My sister however did and she saved approx $4200.00 from the same dealer I purchased from and had absolutely no hassles. I really wanted a new Honda Odyssey so I drove over to the Honda dealer by my house Memorial Day weekend. I met with the Salesman and he gave me what he kept telling me was a great deal we battled back and forth for over 2 hrs about the price finance terms down payment. We finally agreed to a price and that he would pay off my 07 Highlander (no negative Equity) and I wouldn't put down any money except a hold check for $500.00 that I would get back because my payoff was actually lower since I had just made 2 payments the day before. Well when we got into the finance office everything changed the price was $275.00 the financing wasn't 2.9% for 60 it was 7.75% for 72 months and I had stated several times I would only go 60 months and the $1000.00 I was suppose to give them actually was $1650.00 and the salesman never called to get my payoff. So lets see I would have been paying $1375.00 more than I had just agreed to plus the amount I would pay in interest. Needless to say I walked away from that deal, it was pretty depressing though I really wanted that van and I had spent all that time at the dealer trying to put this deal together. A couple of days later I was telling my husband's niece this story when she told me about seeing this site on the Internet where they would negotiate the best deal for you for a small fee and I wouldn't have to do any of the back and forth put up with being lied to plus they could negotiate a deal no matter where you live in the US. Thought what the heck I should give them a try after all I still needed a new Van and had already wasted an entire day trying to buy one what do I have to lose.
